It may be another thirty years before Republicans measure drapes at the White House. Republicans are viewed as passive, weak, too sensitive to political correctness and soft with their arguments. Andy they cry on television. Let’s face it; we’re afraid of offending anyone. The Progressive-left is a polar opposite. They have no shame; they hide from no one, apologize for nothing and could care less what you think. They easily keep their focus and they don’t get distracted. They are driven by poise, precision and audacity; not the constitution.
We have John Boehner. They have Harry Reid. We have Michele Bachman, they have Sheila Jackson Lee. They have the unions, we have the Christian coalition. We proceed cautiously, they proceed recklessly.
Do you see what I’m getting at? Niceness gets you nothing. Anger, angst and gnashing of teeth is not a problem for them. It’s strength over weakness. It’s right in their wheel-house.
Sincerely I ask; how do we overcome this?
Stalin once said, “…people who cast votes – - decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”
November 6th reminded me of a book I read here recently: In the Garden of the Beast, by Erik Larson. In the book, Larson describes a purge that took place in Nazi Germany between June 30 and July 2 1934, when the SS and Gestapo carried out a series of political murders with Ernst Rohm as a notable casualty. Most know it as ‘Night of the Long Knives’.
Ernst Rohm was the leader and founder of the Brown-Shirts (SA). The SA was a group of enforcers with panache for street violence. Left unchecked for months, his mob was responsible for spreading propaganda, intimidating Jews and killing for sport. Like so many others, Rohm soon wore out his welcome and promptly found himself at the business end of a Lugar July 2, 1934. Whenever Hitler felt threatened, he removed problems from the equation. Rohm was one of at least 85 political enemies removed from the playing field that night. All that was left was a nervous population questioning their collective judgment.
September 2011, Zuccotti Park, NY – Occupy Wall Street (OWS)
OWS demographics are not complicated. Most protestors are young; some are anarchists and hippies while others just want to be seen. Of course there are leaders on the ground, prodding the cattle along and providing intelligence when needed. But it’s the planners and ‘thinkers’ who’ve framed the debate… a narrative that’s been carefully constructed that would be used one year later. At the War College in Carlisle, PA, it’s called ‘shaping’ the battlefield.
‘…give them a hint of what it is you’re going to tell them; give them time to get used to the idea; then tell them.’ – Thank you, Tom Clancy.
It’s subliminal; time does the work for you and to their credit, it’s very clever. So it’s no shock to anyone when people start to mention words like communism, socialism and Marxism. And because of this strategy, the peculiar language and odd behavior is now a permanent fixture in today’s conversation. It is mainstream and part of the lexicon. Besides, it’s trendy to be an anarchist or occupier. So naturally, this is most attractive to the young people who have no direction, guidance or prospects. They actually think they are protesting their enormous debt and the greed of Wall Street bankers. This could not be further from the truth. Little do they know, they’re actions are contributing to their own demise.
In fact this scheme, plan or whatever you want to call it was so brilliantly orchestrated, most people have no idea at all what they’re protesting. It’s like a playing a cheap parlor game. Except – - the rules and instructions of the game are never given to the people who are actually playing. They wouldn’t understand it so why bother? It’s too convoluted. Only the handlers and financiers know what’s going on. The organizers only have a snippet of what’s going on because they buy the food and charter the buses. So really, all they know is a head-count. They just don’t know the most important part… and this is where conservatives fall short; we keep asking the wrong questions. The ‘who’ and the ‘how’ is irrelevant. The appropriate question is ‘why’. But we’ll get to that in a minute.
‘My god, look at all those tents. It’s so cold and we’re expecting overnight snow. Those poor people…’. Naturally. You can thank the progressive left for coverage like that; they’ve capitalized on the stupidity of the ignorant (double negative – - but accurate). And that’s the first clue to this dangerous game; occupy the mind. Our ‘Brown-Shirts’ have morphed into the zombie apocalypse. By the way, it’s trendy and all the rage (sorry).
Offer them free stuff and watch what happens. Like zombies, they follow without hesitation. Offer them ideology ‘make love – not war’ and fair share… and see what happens. I mean, how can you pass up language like that? The romanticism of passion and struggle; it’s like they chose the red pill and tumbled down the rabbit hole.
Let’s talk about OWS leadership for a moment. They’re roots come from the sixties and the Vietnam era as well as their agenda. I mean, they would know, right? They’ve taught it, smoked it, and shaped it to fit the circumstances for this moment in time. In fact, they’re enabled to such a degree, there is no fear of repercussion from any authority, governing or legislative body. Oh – and by the way, they bulk of them are card-carrying atheists. And that’s the next clue. Let’s not forget, they denied Christ three times on national television at the DNC. But who am I to judge? So I won’t. God will do it for me:
To the choirmaster: Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. – Psalm 14:1
This brings us to clue number three; a moniker and rallying cry. “We need green energy.” Really… is that what the people need? How about jobs and a responsible government? ‘I’m sorry…, that’s not good enough. There’s no pop and sizzle; and it sounds too complicated.’
‘Follow blindly because your menthol depends on it’. Of course the occupiers never actually demanded free stuff… it was just given to them. And they bought it hook, line and sinker. And that’s the problem; our young people. Not the young people themselves, rather – - what they think and how they think. That’s the problem. Just give them money. This is greed in another light. Some call it extortion. I call it ‘Stockholm Syndrome’
– A psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy, sympathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack abuse from their captors for an act of kindness
Obviously they’re impressionable. It’s the voices of those lecturing the young people doing the most harm. It’s the tentacles of the progressive left. It’s Acorn (or whatever they call themselves these days), the ACLU, the EPA, SEIU and DOJ. I mean really, how do you not prosecute the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation?
Try this on ‘Black Friday’; grab a ‘Billy’ club, go to the mall and see what happens. Try it over and over again for an accurate sample-set… just tell your spouse to keep bailing you out; then get back to me.
It’s sad but people are that impressionable. Within a week of Long Knives, Hitler told the people there was a plot to undo all his changes to save Germany from the Weimar republic and thus thwart him from power. He actually admitted to murdering his rivals publicly. The man was such a great communicator and so persuasive, Germany’s eyes glazed right over. And we all know what happened after that.
Today, we have our own great communicator. Our president told the people what they thought they wanted to hear. Wealth redistribution to the masses and a level playing field. Punish the rich and raise their taxes. How charming. 16.25 trillion dollars later… it’s ‘Thelma and Louise’ on steroids.
‘Socialism is for the people, not the socialists’ (thank you, Andrew).
And this is clue number four – Do you think you’ll have more stuff in the end? No. Do you think your healthcare will be like theirs or even similar? Do you think for even a moment progressives apply socialist tactics to themselves? Not on your life. And because the math and algorithms are faux, so is our economy. Now we face an economical wilderness. Having this knowledge, we somehow convinced ourselves we needed more of the same. That’s the quintessential definition financial dyslexia. Okay, maybe I made that up but you get the point.
In addition, laws were put in place to protect the people. Those days are gone. Now laws are punitive, constrictive and like your credit card bills – - they just keep coming at you. We voted for that too. Nothing’s legal anymore. Growing your own food; home-schooling? Even pumping your own gas in some states is against the law. Progressives are creating laws and regulations that only they know how to navigate. ‘…pass the bill and read it later’. The power must always favor their cause, no matter the consequences or who gets in the way. They cannot be allowed to fail. As Obama says, “…we’ve come too far”. Out of context? Maybe… but very precise.
Ironically, plans never come together this well. Something always goes wrong. But not this time because they’ve had plenty of time to ‘game’ it out. Here’s how they pulled it off. Progressives used OWS to stir the pot to a fever pitch. The news was everywhere at nausea. And when the election season approached, funding was cut and they distanced themselves from it altogether. Coast to coast, everything stopped. The unions pinched it off. Like the end of the fighting season in Afghanistan, people just went home to decompress and get a shower.
But the damage was done. A new narrative reminiscent of the Bolsheviks; eat the rich, vilify Wall Street and screw Bain Capital. So, if you’re young with a 150K education and $14 hour job, who are you going to listen to? Better yet, If a pale green piece of paper with the statue of liberty on it keeps showing up at your mailbox, are you going to do anything to disturb that trend? No. You need that to buy your smokes and to have a little extra ‘walkin around money’ for Saturday night. And if you’re really downtrodden, you’ll get an Obama phone with extra minutes if you refer a friend.
This is where the progressives have bought the elections and the future of our nation. And they did it with our money. And the two-party system is morphing before our very eyes. On one hand, you have progressives consuming democrats; on the other, well… forget about the Republicans; they can’t get elected so by default – they don’t count anymore. Yes, the Tea Party was a great idea but it too has been squashed in the court of public opinion as being too extreme. Progressives grabbed the ‘broad brush’ and summarily tightened their grip on the moment. Now they’re aligned to overrun districts once thought to be untouchable by the garden variety democrats. They’re removing rivals on both sides of the isle from the equation with words like fair, racist, extreme, rich, poor, Latino and Sandy. And all under the guise of our Constitution. Oh, the irony.
This brings us to our fifth and final clue. They play offense, we play defense. They play chess, we play checkers. Aggressors understand one word – force. But this is where it gets interesting. Hardcore progressives have many things in common – but something significant really stands out. You be the judge:
Profile of the Sociopath http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html
Glibness and Superficial Charm
Manipulative and Conning -– They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.
Grandiose Sense of Self -– Feels entitled to certain things as “their right.”
Pathological Lying -– Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.
Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt -– A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
Shallow Emotions -– When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.
Incapacity for Love -– Need for Stimulation; Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.
Callousness/Lack of Empathy -– Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others’ feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.
Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature -– Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, and no concern for their impact on others.
Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency -– Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet “gets by” by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.
Irresponsibility/Unreliability -– Not concerned about wrecking others’ lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.
Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity -– Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.
Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle -– Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.
Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility -– Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.
Could this be possible? Now I’m no doctor but I can definitely see a problem. By definition, how many progressives fit the above as described? Of course, more than a few of those are extreme. But must one display every symtom or trait to be accurately diagnosed? No. Political correctness aside, we are what we are.
And might I remind you: the Secret Service prostitution scandal, the Fast and Furious scandal and Benghazi? Six Americans are dead. SIX! Four were murdered in Benghazi, one was murdered on the border and one secret service agent committed suicide. And these are the ones we know about.
So, knowing what you’ve read thus far, these are my questions:
- Who wins when we lay down to Russia and Putin?
- Who is the benefactor of 16+ Trillion in debt?
- Who’s telling the truth when they keep throwing each other under the bus (parlor game)?
- Who has the power to maintain such illusion?
- Who has the power to cover it up… and still get reelected?
This is an administration with one documented scandal after another. The ‘buck’ never stops with anyone; it just goes in circles. They deny, deflect and take no responsibility time and again. Please tell me, how does this stay contained for so long?
I asked earlier ‘why are they doing these things’? It’s because we let them. ‘Not to act is to act.’ (thank you, Detrich)
